Wonderful. Thank you so much. This video has given me the confidence to get InDesign and actually begin my book design. Now I'm off to watch your video about images.

This is a pretty cool idea to a certain point everyone knows that Hollywood is constantly clamoring for new material. When you enter contests and put your stuff online you are giving them your ideas and your thoughts and your story lines. This gives writers that no longer have anything to write about in Hollywood new ideas to write about things that they have seen in these contests. Ergo legally stealing your ideas and turning your ideas into their movies. These are the two hard cold facts about the business. They are also known for doing these types of contests and getting people who claim to be writers Tahoe stem on such places as RUclips to get people excited to enter their material to see if they have a shot at winning some money. The cold hard truth is you are willing to give your material to the business who was looking at your ideas and if they don't have a movie based on what you have written they can legally steal it and write their own version and under California law you have no legal recourse to do anything about it. It is in their California wga legal agreements. When entering a contest always always always always read everything. If you don't know a term in a contract look it up you had the internet at your fingertips. If any part of it says that you can send them your script for the contest and they may show it around and even if they don't use it they may show it to someone else who may take your script and rewrite their own version of it. This is called writer beware. Once you have sent them your material, if you are not meeting with them face-to-face you just gave away your work and your ideas. Again this is how the business works. Never agreed to anything online or somebody sending you a contract to download and sign always meet people face to face. This not only protects you but it protects your work. Make sure everything that you send in has been notarized and has a copyright with the US copyright office. If you send anything before doing any of this, you just gave away your work for free and you can scream your lungs out after they use it and it becomes a hit movie but there still will be nothing you can do because you didn't legally follow the steps. I wish all of you the best.

😲Everything sounds amazing! I've wanted to go to London and of course Cardiff. I am doing Nano camp for my non-fiction. I have it all outlined so I think I should get it very close to done with camp since I already have a free-written draft along with my new outline to bring it all together. I'm so excited for Forgotten Female Fiction coming back!

🎓 Congratulations!!! 🎓 You are an inspiration to everyone on how to re-invent yourself after a life-changing event. Most people I knew from work (I'm retired now) that went through same personal hell can't recover or end up so bitter at life they just give up and can't shake it off their heads for years. You, on the other hand, not just bounced back but went full Simone Biles and landed back on your feet with tens across the board. And all in front of your subscribers. We hope you kept a diary or something that can be published as a self-help book, it will indeed help so many men and women going through the same it should be a Ted Talks for sure. Best wishes and as I stated a long time ago, thanks for that old InDesign video on how to insert images into the book, it has helped me so many times for my illustrated short stories I hope one day you do an update with the new InDesign.

SO EXCITING, Becca! You will have the BEST time! I love your Forgotten Female Fiction series. Since it's in the Public Domain, you could actually republish it. There are a lot of publishers who do that with the Classics. That way when you feature an author, you can link to the E-book or even POD paperback. It's #JaneAustenJuly now, so that's always my focus for July! That said, I've been writing more than uploading vids, so I'm not sure how much I'll get done. Can't wait to see your London vids! 🙂

You got this! I'm plugging away at my first edit of Botany. Chosen still in drafting and Vendetta is waiting for me to continue the massive edit/over haul it needs. Vendetta is the longest term project, I got the initial idea when I was about 14. It's changed a lot since then.

"Six year project" -- Yes but it's more like a lifetime project. It's the project that made me want to be a writer. I've put it under such high expectations that I find it impossible to write. I will write anything but this dream project. Your excitement has made me think about it again. Maybe this is my year for it, too!
